Personal Care Assistant – ID015
We are currently recruiting for two members of staff to support an 8 year old boy living in the Halesowen area. Our client is 2:1 when out in the community, as he has complex health and social care needs. He is non verbal, developmentally delayed and can display some challenging behaviours.
Hours: 4 hours per week to be arranged on a weekly basis.
Rate: £11.44 per hour plus holiday pay.
Applicants should have basic knowledge and experience of working with children with SEN, including hyperactivity and challenging behaviours. Non verbal communications such as PECS or Makaton and knowledge of behavioural interventions are essential.
The ability to remain calm and apply appropriate safety protocols in challenging situations will be essential.
A Full Enhanced DBS check is required for this position and will be funded via Dudley MBC Children’s Services.
